Betty opened her bakery in 1954, and we still use her original recipe today.

Betty was born in Cheyenne, Wyoming, the daughter of John McWilliams, Jr. and Julia Carolyn Weston. The eldest of three children, she had a brother, John III, and a sister, Dorothy.

Betty's homemade pastries sparked her culinary career, and were always her favorite to bake. She was an active member of the International Association of Culinary Professionals, and was the first woman inducted into
the Culinary Institute of America's Hall of Fame.
